Since 2017, the Pljevlja thermal power plant in Montenegro has been using Detas LED lighting solutions. In 2020, the project continued with the retrofit of the lighting in a section of the facility dedicated to turbines and engines, which is characterized by particularly demanding operating conditions.
The project required fixtures capable of operating at temperatures up to 70 °C and providing illuminance levels between 300 and 500 lux. To meet these requirements, Detas’s Research and Development department designed a specialized high-temperature LED fixture. Before delivery, a prototype was installed at the power plant for a six-month trial period.
After successfully completing the testing phase, the solution was implemented to illuminate a larger portion of the facility, ensuring performance suitable for the high temperatures and operational requirements of the industrial environment.
