Luminaires complying with EN 60598-2-22 for power supply from centralized emergency system, not built into luminaire and not included in supply (e.g., Rescuer)-excluding high-risk areas.
When the light fixture is powered by 230Vac (normal line) the flux is 100%.
When passing under responder, 230Vdc power is supplied, and the following operation occurs in emergency: Luminaires ordered with 60598-2-22 compliance, reduce their power and consequently their output flux to the % agreed upon in the order (e.g., 15%). The parameter can be customized at the order stage but the required programming must be communicated. In the absence of communication it is set to 15% by default.
When passing under rescuer, 230Vac power is supplied-exactly as if powered from ordinary line, and the following operation occurs in emergency:
Luminaires equipped with DALI drivers increase (when the DALI system fails), by default, their power and consequently their flux to the maximum level (100%), which is the nominal value of the ordered product.
Evaluation of compatibility between the centralized source and drivers, as well as adherence to the switching times between normal and emergency power supply and autonomy time, is the sole responsibility of the electrical system designer.
